Unifying a Divided Nation

In the USA and throughout the world, it seems as though unifying people is next to, if not entirely, impossible. However, it can be done, but it will require some fundamental changes to the way we govern. The good news is that these fundamental changes are far from scary, and when presented, will actually make a lot of sense, regardless of your personal views.

What is the Problem?

The problem is a “one size fits all” form of government. It's important to see this as not evil, but instead acknowledge it is not functional. It is an old style of governing that no longer serves the people. It's time to move on from this.

The Root of Division

The division we are seeing can be easily solved by simply honoring the differences between our unique and diverse communities in practice through a governance model that is decentralized and gives communities and regions as much autonomy as possible.

Understanding Our Differences

It's no secret that people in San Francisco, California have a different lifestyle and set of values from those in a place like Lincoln, Nebraska. While this difference is not inherently bad, trying to govern both cities under a sweeping set of universal governing principles presents numerous challenges, often to the dissatisfaction of one side, or perhaps both. Obviously this is not working too well.

Empowering Individuals

No matter who you are, you deserve to feel like you have more control over your own life in as many ways as possible.

This is likely where a lot of the vile political division comes from. A sense of fear and frustration with people who think differently from you arises when you feel like their ideals and worldviews are imposed upon you. These feelings of resentment towards those who think differently are understandable in a form of government such as this. There is a sense of loss of control over your own life, livelihood, and well-being. Who would not feel this way?

The True Problem

The problem is not Liberals, Conservatives, Atheists, Christians, Muslims, or any single group. We all have the right to live the life we want to live, believe in whatever God we wish, and pursue the dreams and ambitions we desire.

If we all feel like we equally have this right, why would we ever feel a sense of resentment towards someone who thinks differently than we do? We wouldn't, and there would be no reason to.

A Vision for the Future

In this manifesto, we explore an alternative form of governing that can give you a sense of more control over your own life and well-being. A form of governing that will remove all reason to resent another human being for their way of thinking.

It is said there is strength in unity. Unity can be achieved in diversity, but only if everyone feels like they have control over their own lives and destiny. Diversity is divisive if one group tries to impose their ways on another. The goal of this manifesto is to propose a system of governing that prevents this.
